Service Description

This Beginner Yoga Course is specifically designed for individuals who are new to yoga or have limited experience with the practice. This course aims to introduce the fundamental principles, postures, and breathing techniques of yoga in a supportive & accessible manner. It provides a solid foundation for participants to start their yoga journey with confidence and understanding. Throughout the course, participants will be guided through a progressive series of classes that gradually introduce them to the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga. The course will include the following: Introduction to Yoga: Participants will learn about the origins and philosophy of yoga, including the concept of mindfulness, the importance of breath, and the integration of mind and body. Basic Asanas (Postures): Participants will be introduced to a variety of foundational yoga postures, including standing poses, seated poses, forward bends, gentle backbends, twists, and gentle inversions. The instructor will guide participants on proper alignment, modifications, and the benefits of each posture. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): Participants will explore various breathing techniques, such as deep belly breathing (diaphragmatic breathing), alternate nostril breathing, and breath awareness. These techniques promote relaxation, calmness, and increased energy. Relaxation and Stress Reduction: The course will include relaxation techniques and guided relaxation exercises to help participants release tension, reduce stress, and promote deep relaxation. This may include practices such as guided relaxation, body scans, or Yoga Nidra. Meditation and Mindfulness: Participants will be introduced to basic meditation techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness, focus, and inner peace. They will learn simple mindfulness practices that can be incorporated into their daily lives. Yoga Sequencing: Participants will learn how to link poses together in a flowing sequence, synchronizing movement with breath. They will understand the importance of creating a balanced & safe practice that promotes both strength and flexibility. Yoga Props and Modifications: Participants will be introduced to the use of yoga props, such as blocks, straps, and blankets, to support their practice and enhance alignment. Body Awareness and Alignment: Participants will develop a greater understanding of their body's alignment, anatomy, and movement. They will learn how to move mindfully and safely.
