This Senior Citizen Yoga and Meditation Course is specifically designed for the unique needs and abilities of older adults, of all experience levels. This course offers a gentle and accessible approach to yoga and meditation, focusing on promoting physical health, mental well-being, and a sense of inner calm for senior participants. It provides a supportive and inclusive environment where seniors can practice yoga and meditation in a safe and age-appropriate manner. The course will include the following: Gentle Yoga Asana Practice: Participants will engage in a gentle and modified yoga asana practice that is suitable for seniors. The emphasis will be on improving flexibility, balance, strength, and joint mobility. The asanas will be adapted to accommodate any physical limitations or conditions that may be present. Chair Yoga and Modifications: The course will include chair yoga options and modifications to make the practice accessible to those with mobility challenges or limited range of motion. Participants will learn how to use chairs and props for support. Breath-work and Relaxation Techniques: Participants will learn breathing techniques to enhance relaxation, reduce stress, and increase mindfulness. They will explore gentle pranayama exercises that promote deep breathing and calmness of the mind. Guided relaxation techniques and meditation practices will also be incorporated to support stress reduction and promote overall well-being. Gentle Stretching and Joint Mobility: The course will include gentle stretching exercises and joint mobility movements to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and maintain joint health.
